Scholarship Chair Update (Learn more)

As you can no doubt imagine planning, organizing, communicating, and the myriad of other activities associated with our scholarship program during a pandemic has been … “FUN?”

Actually it’s gone extremely well, all things considered. We’ve learned ways to overcome a variety of hurdles such as, in-person planning sessions, judges meetings, auditions, and many more.

We’ve learned “that ZOOM thing” works well for meetings and that with the aid of several pieces of technology, student applications, music scores, and audition videos can be assembled on a website where judges can view and do their judging from their homes.

All-in-all, 2021 has been a learning curve for our scholarship program BUT we’ve also learned some tips & tricks we intend to apply going forward.

Well, that pretty much wraps up what I can share for now but please, do check-back soon when I’ll be sharing the names of our 2021 Harold S. Schwartz Scholarship winners.

In the meantime, keep yourselves safe and healthy.
