The Harold S. Schwartz Music Scholarship Program has begun accepting applications.
Student Eligibility Highlights:
You must be graduating from a Lake, Marion, or Sumter County high school or academy in spring 2022;
You must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0;
You must be majoring or minoring in music at the college or university of your choice beginning with the 2022-23 academic year; and
Applications and additional Schwartz competition information will be available on this site and distributed to high school educators and guidance staff in the fall 2021. Make sure you check this site then for details.

Dear Music Educator or Guidance Counselor:
We are happy to announce that we will be conducting the Schwartz Program again in 2022. This year, the First Prize will be a scholarship of up to $12,000! Students applying must be graduating seniors from Lake, Sumter, or Marion county with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
Scholarships awarded must be used for the winner’s first year of college music studies during the 2022-23 academic year. Applicants must be planning to major or minor in Music at a college or university of their choice. Instrumentalists and vocalists are eligible to participate.
The 2022 Schwartz Scholarship applications will be due on March 1, 2022. Applications and additional Schwartz competition information will be emailed to educators in the fall and will be available on this web-site in October 2021.
We are asking your assistance in encouraging your most promising music students to apply! With your help, we can make sure that the most talented music students get the help they deserve as they follow their dreams.
